Greek meat pie (Греческий пирог с мясом)

Prerequisites

  • gas stove (газовая плита)
  • frying pan (сковорода)
  • baking tray (противень)
  • baking parchment paper (пергаментная бумага для выпечки)

Ingredients

  • minced beef/pork, 500 g
  • puff pastry without yeast, 500 g
  • bulb onions, 2 pieces
  • feta cheese, 150 g
  • spring onion, 6 stalks
  • dill (укроп), 4 stalks
  • parsley (петрушка), 4 stalks
  • eggs, 3 pieces
  • refined sunflower oil

Instruction

  1. Fry minced beef/pork in sunflower oil in a frying pan for 10 minutes.
  2. Finely chop bulb onions and fry in sunflower oil in a frying pan until golden.
  3. Finely chop feta cheese, spring onion, dill and parsley.
  4. Mix minced beef/pork, bulb onions, feta cheese, spring onion, dill, parsley and eggs.
  5. Divide the puff pastry into 2 parts and roll out into thin sheets.
  6. Cover the surface of a baking tray with parchment paper.
  7. Place a sheet of pastry in a baking tray, lay out the filling, cover it with a second sheet of pastry.
  8. Brush the pie with egg yolk.
  9. Make small holes in the top of the pie.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes.
