Shchi (Щи)
Prerequisites
- gas stove (газовая плита)
- pan (кастрюля)
- frying pan (сковорода)
Ingredients
- potatoes, 5 pieces
- minced pork (свиной фарш), 300 g
- bulb onion (луковица), 1 piece
- carrot, 1 piece
- tomato juice, 200 ml
- sorrel (щавель)
- dill (укроп)
- refined sunflower oil
Instruction
- Wash the ingredients.
- Chop up potatoes, onion, carrot, sorrel and dill.
- Lightly simmer chopped onion and carrot over low heat in sunflower oil in a frying pan.
- Add tomato juice there and continue simmer slowly.
- Roll minced pork into balls with a diameter of 1 cm.
- Put these balls into boiling water and boil them for 20 minutes.
- Put chopped potatoes into water and boil for another 20 minutes.
- Put fried onion and carrot there and boil on low heat for 5 minutes.
- Add sorrel and dill.
