Tefteli (Тефтели)

Prerequisites

  • gas stove (газовая плита)
  • frying pan (сковорода)
  • wheat flour

Ingredients

  • minced beef/pork, 500 g
  • bulb onion (луковица), 1 piece
  • garlic cloves (зубчики чеснока), 2 pieces
  • eggs, 1 piece
  • loaf, 1 slice
  • sour cream (сметана), 2 table spoons
  • milk
  • tomato ketchup
  • refined sunflower oil

Instruction

  1. Wash the ingredients.
  2. Soak a slice of loaf in milk.
  3. Finely chop and mix minced meat, onion, garlic, eggs and loaf until homogeneous.
  4. Shape the tefteli one by one:
    • Form the teftel into a ball shape
    • Roll the teftel in wheat flour
    • Compact the teftel by tossing it from hand to hand
  5. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
  6. Fry the tefteli until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Dilute sour cream and half a spoon of ketchup in a glass of water 200 ml.
  8. Pour the contents of the glass into the frying pan.
  9. Simmer tefteli over low heat for 15 minutes.
